2. Your Content

You retain ownership of all documents and content you create in Athens. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. You grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely to provide the service.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Athens for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

4. Google Drive Integration

If you connect your Google Drive, you authorize Athens to access your Google Docs files in read-only mode for the purpose of importing documents. You can revoke this access at any time through your Athens account settings or through your Google account permissions.

5. AI Features

Athens includes AI-powered writing assistance. When you use these features, portions of your document content may be sent to third-party AI providers for processing. AI-generated suggestions are provided as-is, and you are responsible for reviewing and approving any AI-generated content before use.

6. Payments and Subscriptions

Some features may require a paid subscription. Payments are processed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep Athens available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability.

8. Limitation of Liability

Athens is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our privacy policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Athens after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
